Gorilla Finger is a 6 piece reggae band from southern Maine. The groups sound is a aggressive take on roots reggae but maintain's a a very relaxed atmosphere. Originally inspired by the late Bob Marley the band quickly fell into it's own releasing an original record titled cool it down. Over the last 6 years the band has shared the stage with many top ranking acts earning them a solid status in the Maine reggae scene. Recently the band recorded a live album at Bayside Bowl and released it, entitled "Live On 4/20" this past year to wide acclaim. We are thrilled to bring Gorilla Finger back to Bayside for their annual Holiday show. Joining them on the bill is the Maine based jam/funk/electro band, Merther. Merther is a 5 piece jam band from Maine. With members hailing from all parts of the state, they blend the sounds of reggae, funk, and psychedelic rock, among other genres, to create music that anyone can enjoy. First formed in 2013 under the name “Pleasant Street”, Merther has since developed a steady following across the state of Maine, and has also performed several shows in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and New York. Merther has shared the stage with regional and nationally touring acts such as: The Breakfast, lespecial, Consider The Source, Mike Love, Ky-Mani Marley, Roots of Creation, Aqueous, Max Creek, Swimmer, Barika, and The New Motif, to name a few.
