In 2007 I moved back to Maine after a few years away. Looking for a way to get through the long winters, I talked some friends into creating a bowling league: BowlPortland. We weren't very good but we had a blast hanging out every Tuesday. After an opening season with 12 teams, we expanded to 22 teams for the 2nd season. (We currently have 50+ teams!) 

Just a few years later, I opened Bayside Bowl in 2010 in an old warehouse in Portland's Bayside neighborhood. In 2016, we expanded to 20-lanes with a second floor Mezzanine and a sunset rooftop bar in the heart of Portland's Bayside neighborhood.

What started as a hangout for a local league has grown to become host to professional bowlers from around the world, concerts from Grammy award-winning bands, countless weddings and just general great times. From the stunning rooftop deck and taco truck to the impeccably maintained lanes, Bayside truly is best in class in everything it offers.

Bowlers from around the world make their way to bowl on our lanes, including during our annual hosting of the PBA League event live on FOX. We host weddings and corporate events, all catered in-house by our professional kitchen. During our peak league season, we host 700 league bowlers each week. Bayside is a world class facility with a neighborhood vibe, and locally owned by the same owner for all 12 years.

Bayside Bowl was built to host friends out to have a good time. It's easy to see and feel the sense of fun and community whenever you visit, from the staff to the leagues to the groups just here for dinner and drinks.
